The Thriller craze has become so popular that a correctional facility in the Philippines has gained worldwide recognition for its unique rehabilitation methods by turning 1,500 of its inmates into dancers emulating choreographed moves based on Michael Jackson’s Thriller video . The inmates were instructed by Byron Garcia who manages the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC). The routine shown on You Tube has had over 70 million hits since it’s release in 2007. Mr. Garcia uses music and dance with the inmates as a form of therapy and rehabilitation.
